Bali Copper

Project Overview

The Bali Copper Project represents a high-grade exploration opportunity located in the Ashburton region of Western Australia. Wholly owned by Norwest Minerals, the project covers approximately 41km² of highly prospective ground dominated by the Bali Shear—an 8km-long major fault zone with a proven history of hosting high-grade copper, lead, zinc, and silver mineralization.

Exploration work by the Company has significantly expanded the project’s potential beyond the main shear zone, with the discovery of the Deep South and Conglomerate prospects, where surface mapping and sampling have returned exceptional high-grade copper assays.

Key Investment Highlights

  • Exceptional Surface Grades: Surface exploration at the Deep South prospect has identified copper-gold quartz veins with rock chip samples averaging ~20% Copper (Cu) and grades peaking at 46.2% Cu and 6.74 g/t Gold (Au).
  • New Structural Discoveries: Mapping has confirmed 10 separate high-grade copper-bearing structures (V1–V10) extending over a combined strike length of 3.2 kilometres.
  • Drill-Ready Targets: Heritage clearance has been successfully secured for key targets, including high-grade veins V1 and V2, paving the way for immediate drill testing.
  • Proven Mineralized System: Historical and recent drilling along the main Bali Shear has confirmed broad zones of copper mineralization from surface.

Exploration & Geology

1. The Deep South & Conglomerate Discovery

The most significant recent development at the Bali Project is the identification of the “Deep South” area. Previously unexplored due to difficult terrain, new earthworks allowed access to a series of parallel structures south of the main shear.

  • High-Grade Veins: Ten extensive vein structures (V1–V10) have been mapped.
  • Drill Results: Maiden wide-spaced drilling at the V6 target returned encouraging high-grade intercepts, including 3m @ 6.2% Cu.
  • Future Focus: The company has Heritage cleared the V1 and V2 targets—which returned some of the highest surface grades—preparing them for their first-ever drill testing.

2. The Bali Shear (Main Zone)

The project is anchored by the Bali Shear, a major northwest-trending fault. Norwest’s systematic drilling (33 RC holes for ~3,900m) successfully intersected broad widths of copper mineralization along the shear.

  • Significant Intercepts:
    • 52m @ 1.4% Cu from surface (inc. 12m @ 4.4% Cu).
    • 6m @ 7.2% Cu (Historical).
    • Mineralization remains open along strike and at depth.

Project Status & Next Steps

Norwest Minerals maintains a 100% interest in the Bali Project. While the Company’s primary capital allocation has recently focused on the Bulgera Gold and West Arunta projects, the Bali Copper Project remains a key asset within the portfolio.
